Texas Viking Commercial Auto & Fleet Program

Your Commercial Auto Deserves a Serious Review.

If your business operates multiple work trucks, service vehicles, vans or commercial vehicles, commercial auto may be one of your largest insurance expenses.

Texas Viking Insurance has access to multiple commercial auto and fleet markets through both direct carrier relationships and experienced transportation underwriters.

We are looking to work with established Texas businesses that are serious about reviewing their insurance — and willing to make a change if we can improve the pricing, coverage or service.

Multiple Markets. One Place to Start.

Have your current policy, loss runs or vehicle list? You can upload them with the form.

Who this is for

The Texas Viking Fleet Program is designed for businesses such as:

  • Contractors
  • HVAC companies
  • Plumbing companies
  • Electrical contractors
  • Landscaping companies
  • Pool service companies
  • Service and repair businesses
  • Construction companies
  • Delivery and service operations
  • Businesses with multiple pickups, vans, service vehicles or commercial autos

From growing commercial auto accounts to established fleets.

We are especially interested in businesses with multiple vehicles where commercial auto represents a meaningful business expense.

Commercial auto can be expensive. The right market matters.

Not every commercial auto account belongs with the same insurance company. Vehicle types, drivers, business operations, radius, loss history, years in business and other factors can all affect which carrier may be the best fit.

Texas Viking’s role is to review the account and determine which available markets appear worth pursuing.

We can’t promise every account will save money, but we can tell you whether a market review looks worthwhile.

Start Your Fleet Review

You don’t need to complete a full insurance application to start. Give us the information you have today. If your account looks like a potential fit, we’ll let you know what else we need to approach the appropriate markets.

The basics

For example: HVAC service company with a mix of service vans and pickups.

Premium is optional, but it helps us tell you quickly whether a review makes sense.

Why are you reviewing your commercial auto insurance?
If we can improve your pricing, coverage or service, would you seriously consider changing insurance carriers?
Do you haul property or materials for others for compensation?
Have more information handy?

Providing more information now may help us determine which markets are worth pursuing. Complete as much as you can below — or simply upload existing documents instead of re-entering information you already have.

For example, rented vehicles or employees using their own vehicles for business.

Upload What You Have

Don’t have everything yet? That’s okay. Submit what you have and we’ll let you know what’s missing.

Accepted: PDF, XLS, XLSX, CSV, DOC, DOCX, JPG and PNG. Each box takes one file; use “Other relevant documents” for anything extra. Please keep attachments under about 5 MB in total. For larger files, email them to quotes@vikingtexas.com and include your business name.

Please don’t include Social Security numbers or payment information.

What We Usually Need for a Complete Fleet Review

Exact requirements vary by carrier. Send what you have now and we’ll tell you what’s missing.

Current commercial auto policy

Preferably the complete policy or renewal proposal rather than only a Certificate of Insurance.

Five years of currently valued loss runs

If your company has been in business less than five years, provide all available loss history.

Vehicle schedule

A current carrier vehicle schedule may be sufficient if it contains the required information. If you’re supplying a separate spreadsheet, include:

  • Year, make and model
  • VIN
  • Vehicle type and primary use
  • Garaging city and state
  • Operating radius
  • Current or stated value, if physical damage is needed

If applicable

  • Comprehensive and collision deductibles
  • Permanently attached equipment
  • Lienholder / loss payee
  • GVW

Driver schedule

First and last name, date of birth, driver license number and state, CDL yes or no, and date of hire.

You don’t need to send license numbers or dates of birth with your first submission. We’ll ask for them when we’re ready to approach markets.

Current pricing and renewal

  • Current annual premium
  • Renewal premium, if available
  • What would make changing carriers worthwhile?

Have 15 vehicles? Don’t type them in. Upload your carrier’s vehicle schedule or a spreadsheet instead.

Is the Texas Viking Fleet Program a Good Fit?

We may be a good fit if:

  • You operate an established business.
  • You have multiple commercial vehicles.
  • Commercial auto is a meaningful business expense.
  • You currently carry insurance.
  • You can provide vehicle, driver and loss information.
  • You’re willing to allow us to seriously review the account.
  • You would consider moving if we improve pricing, coverage or service.

A complete market review may not be possible if:

  • Current policy information is unavailable.
  • Required loss information cannot be provided.
  • Driver or vehicle information is unavailable.
  • There is no genuine intention to consider changing insurance carriers.

What happens next?

  1. We review your account.

We review your business, vehicles, drivers, current insurance and loss information.

  2. We determine which markets make sense.

Not every account belongs with every insurance company. We identify which available markets appear appropriate.

  3. We tell you what’s missing.

If additional applications, MVRs, driver information or supplemental underwriting details are needed, our team will let you know.

  4. We approach the appropriate markets.

Once we have a complete submission, we approach the carriers and underwriters that appear to fit the account.

  5. We compare the results.

    We evaluate:

    • Premium
    • Coverage
    • Limits
    • Deductibles
    • Carrier
    • Payment options
    • Service considerations

Prefer to Work From a Spreadsheet?

For larger fleets, a spreadsheet is often the easiest way to provide vehicle and driver information.
